1. Why can’t I have a cake delivered?

For right now, we are not shipping cakes! In the future we hope to ship cakes nationwide! You can always stop by our flagship store and purchase one there.


2. What is Tres Leches?

A Tres Leches cake is a cake that is soaked in a blend of three types of milk. Our Tres Leches cakes come in a variety of flavors!


3. Is the bakery a nut free facility?

Unfortunately, our bakery in some instances uses nuts for some of our pastries and cakes. If you have a severe nut allergy, we suggest that you do NOT purchase our bakes goods. All of the pastries and cakes that contain nuts are noted on the description of the cake or pastry!


4. Do you have gluten free cakes or pastries?

Unfortunately, we do not currently make anything that is gluten free. However, we are brain storming on gluten free options!


5. What are Herndon’s Bodega & Bakery’s hours of operation?

Herndon’s Bodega & Bakery is open every day of the year. 365!

Mon-Thurs: 7:00AM-10:00PM

Friday: 7:00AM-11:00PM

Sat-Sun: 8:00AM-10:00PM


6. What are Herndon’s Bodega & Bakery’s holiday hours of operation?

Herndon’s Bodega & Bakery opens as usual on any given holiday. Open from 7AM-10PM, unless stated otherwise!


7. Do you do custom cakes with any design?

If you have a specific design that you want us to do, go ahead and send us a message here! We will send you a quote for the cake you would like in less than 3 hours. We are open to any custom designs and we do not judge! Email us your idea at sales@lachampitabakery.com


8.How far in advance do I have to place an order for a cake?

Most regular cakes can be done within the same day with a 4-6-hour notice, except for Sundays. All orders for Sunday must be placed on Friday. All custom cakes must be placed 3-4 days before the event. All wedding and special event cake orders must be placed 2 weeks ahead of the event.


9. Can I have a photo printed on the cake?

Yes, you will have to submit the picture with the order of the cake!


10. What is your cancellation policy?

All regular cakes can be cancelled one day prior to the event. However, all special event and custom cakes must be cancelled 3 days prior to the event.

11. How is my order shipped?

All orders are packaged between 1-2 days after you place your order and all our products are made ready to order so you'll always receive fresh goods. We use Priority Mail shipping so the package should arrive in 1-3 days. If you place an order on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the order will be fulfilled Monday or Tuesday

12. How long will it take for order to arrive?

All domestic orders should be delivered in 1-3 business days. We use Priority Mail to ensure it does not take more than 3 business days. The majority of all domestic orders take on average 2 business days.All orders to Canada should be delivered within 2-6 business days

13. Do you ship to Canada?

We do ship to Canada. However,  All customs fees, taxes and duties are the responsibility of the customer. Customers are responsible for being aware of and paying any customs fees and duties charged by Canada. 

14. What is your Refund Policy?

All items are final sale. If an item arrives damaged or spoiled, our Customer Service team will work with you to determine an appropriate solution. Please reach out to our team at support@lachampitabakery.com to resolve the issue within 1 day of delivery.
